Kamara’s Heart Vision Beyond 2025 empowers Sierra Leone’s future through expanded education, community development, and international partnerships that create lasting change.
OUR VISION
FUNDRAISING
TO BRING KAMARA'S VISION BEYOND 2025 TO LIFE, WE NEED TO RAISE:
- $175,000 for new projects, including the construction of a multi-purpose community centre
- $50,000 for ongoing operational costs, ensuring the continuity of our vital programs
Here’s a breakdown of the most pressing needs and costs:
CONSTRUCTION
$150,000 – Multi-purpose Community Centre
The school has already been built and is in use. Now we want to build something to bring the entire community together. This centre will include a playground, conference hall, and meeting spaces for over 250 people.
In the future, the centre will also serve as additional classrooms to expand the school, as well as a training facility for teachers.
- Architectural design and foundation: $50,000
- Brick layout and floating costs: $40,000
- Lock-up stage and first-floor layout: $30,000
- Roofing and internal fittings: $30,000

FOOD & WATER
$5,200/year – School Breakfast Program
Providing breakfast once a week to all children. With additional funding, we hope to extend this to daily meals.
$600/year – Water Well Maintenance
Ensuring access to clean water for the students, teachers, and surrounding community.
Access to fresh clean water is essential for the health of the children and their families.
EDUCATION
$30,000/year – Educational Support for 300 Children in Sierra Leone
$100 per child provides free education, school supplies, hygiene products, and teacher salaries for one year.
- This includes books, stationery and teacher training.
- 220 of these 300 children are girls, and each dollar invested is an investment in a brighter future for them.
$10,000/year – Reading Club in Ghana
Supporting 60 children in Ghana to learn to read and prepare for formal education. This includes weekly snacks, lunches, and hygiene products.
$1,200/year – Teacher Support
$35 per month for each teacher, plus support for 5 teachers to gain qualifications.
$240/year – Uniforms and Sanitary Products
Covers the cost of uniforms, soap, sanitary pads, and other essentials for one year.
PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
$1,500/year minimum – Micro Business Grants for Single Parents
$150 per grant helps set up small businesses, empowering single mothers and breaking the cycle of poverty.
$25,000 – Sustainable Farming Projects in Sierra Leone
Funding land purchase and the development of agriculture programs that create jobs and opportunities for the community.
5TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER
Here are photos and videos from our 5th Anniversary Dinner celebrating Kamara’s Heart’s journey and announcing new plans. The event raised over $25,000 toward our next project: a multi-purpose community centre to complement our school serving 300+ children.
