VISION BEYOND 2025
At Kamara’s Heart, we understand that physical and social wellbeing are fundamental to community development. Our health and wellbeing initiatives focus on nutrition, sustainable food security, and creating opportunities for financial independence.
Kamara’s Heart Vision Beyond 2025 is to maintain good physical and mental health for the children and the community in Rokel. Our aim is partner with organisation and to provide basic health needs for children in Sierra Leone and Ghana beginning from late 2025 with the goal to establish a Health Care Clinic in Rokel, Sierra Leone by 2027.
This will provide:
- Treatment for illness or injury
- Maternity and Antenatal needs
- Education on unhealthy traditional practices
- Food and nutritional support for malnourished children
- Vision, hearing and dental needs
- Mobility needs
- Specialist care and support
When you give to Kamara’s Health and Wellbeing project you invest in initiatives that improve quality of life and focus on preventative measures. This means children will learn to keep themselves healthy throughout their lives.


NUTRITION & FOOD SECURITY
- Annual Christmas and Easter food and gift outreach programs ($5,000 yearly)
- Weekly student breakfast program ($5200 yearly)
- Development of sustainable farming projects for local food production ($25,000 total)
- Livestock farming for milk and meat
- Creating local food sustainability
- Partnering with Hobart Baptist Church to run a cafe fundraising program.
- A home meal program for those in need of food ($1000 yearly)
- Educating children on hygiene and nutrition.
PHYSICAL HEALTH & RECREATION
Kamara’s Heart provides hygiene and sanitary products to over 300 primary, nursery, and preparatory students in Sierra Leone and Ghana. Our focus on sanitary pads for girls in remote areas addresses a critical need for maintaining dignity, confidence, and educational access.
Beyond 2025, we will:
- Continue providing essential toiletries and sanitary products
- Develop customized, reusable sanitary pads from sustainable materials
- End period poverty by normalizing menstruation and helping women and girls manage their periods with comfort and dignity. our annual project cost is $2000.
